True Colors
I can't say I was too surprised by the results of my True Colors test on Tuesday. I had a 3-way tie among the orange, blue and green. Gold was my lowest and I am truly disorganized and hate too much structure and planning.

Off to a Rough Start
This semester is off to a rough start so far. Actually, the issues started this summer. Our office in the Noel House was damaged by rain and leaks and we had to quickly pack up what we needed for the next month. The problem was we did not have anywhere to go! I ended up working in Martin Hall for about a month and enjoyed working in a remodeled building. Then it was time to move again...this time to Barefoot Residence Hall. It is old and needs to be remodeled, but it is nice to have our office back in one place. Also, we have our own bathrooms since it is a dorm! We will be here until at least the end of the semester.
So I feel like I was already playing catch up by the time school started. I am so tired and ended up in the ER Wednesday night with a really bad migraine. Not fun. Guess my body is trying to tell me to take it easy...

Best Chinese @ Seaboard Station
Since we are headed to downtown Raleigh on our big field trip this week, I wanted to mention another of my favorite spots in that area....Peace China.
This gets my vote for Best Chinese in Raleigh. It is also in a really neat part of downtown called Seaboard Station. There are a ton of cute shops down there, places to eat and a great garden store! Also, every Friday night, they have Music on the Porch. There is a roped off area for kids to rides scooters & bikes, blow bubbles or hula hoop. My boyfriend and I take his daughters there almost every weekend! They also have pizza, beer & Italian ices!

A New Chapter
I both love and dread the first day of classes. There is something exciting about starting a new semester, much like beginning a new year. At the same time I never feel like I am quite ready for the semester to start. Meeting so many new people, a different routine and just change in general energizes me while leaving me a bit (or maybe a lot) overwhelmed.
So...I have decided to use a planner religiously. I have tried this before and always stop for some reason or another. This semester I am going to commit to keeping one main calendar for the entire semester - make a habit of it. I bought a REALLY REALLY cute planner on-line that will fit into my purse as well as have room for my big handwriting and doodles. From previous experience, I know writing stuff down really helps. It gets it out of my mind and onto paper. Having all those "papers" in one place will be nice. Maybe I will even become organized!!!
